Allen Gregory – Partner, Federal Tax

For more than 25 years, Allen has delivered business tax and advisory services to corporations and flow-through entities—including partnerships, LLCs, S Corps—in all aspects of income taxation. He brings significant experience in tax outsourcing and has successfully represented clients in tax controversy and abatement matters.
Allen’s passion for providing hands-on, customized tax solutions drives his approach to guiding clients through complex analysis and strategic planning around critical tax matters. With a background in public accounting and experience running his own firm, Allen understands the pressing issues businesses face along the road to achieving success. He leverages his diverse experience, industry knowledge, and transaction insight to each client, helping put tax matters right and driving better tax outcomes.
Allen’s industry experience spans a wide range of sectors and includes a special interest in real estate ownership and development. He advises businesses for success from formation to liquidation, including entity selection and exemption elections; structuring operating agreements (capital allocations, waterfall provisions, and ownership economics); and performing cost segregation analysis of newly constructed, renovated and acquired properties. Allen is a frequent writer and speaker for professional associations and industry conferences, including RMAC, AFWA, COCPA, NAIOP, and the Colorado Real Estate Journal.
Earlier in his career, Allen held positions at EY and Grant Thornton before becoming a tax partner at Eide Bailly. He later founded AG Tax and Consulting Services, Inc., which merged with TaxOps in 2019.
In his free time, Allen serves as a three-sport coach for his children, motivating players and making sports fun. He is also an active cyclist and competes in amateur events.
