Meet Linda Shaver, State and Local Tax Specialist at TaxOps

State and Local Tax Specialist Linda Shaver brings her extensive skills in indirect tax and project management to client matters across industries.

As our team at TaxOps expands, we bring on specialists with complimentary expertise, ready to deliver outstanding client service. Linda Shaver, one of our newer team members, offers a perfect blend of state and local tax compliance knowledge and project management skills to serve our diverse business base. With a background in accounting and enterprise resource planning, Linda focuses on streamlining processes and developing efficient standard operating procedures for state and local tax administration.

Linda understands the pressures businesses face from her time in the private sector. Before joining TaxOps, she was a Senior Tax Analyst at Coalfire Systems, Inc., where she managed various tax functions, including sales tax returns, income tax payments, and property tax management. She reviewed and analyzed tax accounts, resolved tax notices, and assisted with the implementation of Avalara tax software.

Earlier in her career, Linda worked at Kärcher North America, Inc., where she served as a Lead Tax Analyst and Senior Tax Accountant. In these roles, she provided leadership and training to the tax team, managed sales and use tax compliance, analyzed regulatory tax and planning positions, implemented process improvements, and handled Canadian GST/HST accounts. 

Linda holds a Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University and a Certificate in Managerial Accounting and Business from the Community College of Aurora.
