Allen\u2019s industry experience spans a wide range of sectors and includes a special interest in real estate ownership and development. He advises businesses for success from formation to liquidation, including entity selection and exemption elections; structuring operating agreements (capital allocations, waterfall provisions, and ownership economics); and performing cost segregation analysis of newly constructed, renovated and acquired properties. Allen is a frequent writer and speaker for professional associations and industry conferences, including RMAC, AFWA, COCPA, NAIOP, and the Colorado Real Estate Journal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Earlier in his career, Allen held positions at EY and Grant Thornton before becoming a tax partner at Eide Bailly. He later founded AG Tax and Consulting Services, Inc., which merged with TaxOps in 2019.<\/p>\n

In his free time, Allen serves as a three-sport coach for his children, motivating players and making sports fun. He is also an active cyclist and competes in amateur events.<\/p>\n
